Blackfoot Daisy Drops New Single

Murder and mayhem in NoWhere, OK

Atlanta, GA: Blackfoot Daisy announces the release of their new single, Nowhere, Oklahoma, written by band members Wendy DuMond and Don Sechelski.

Nowhere OK sounds like an upbeat, Americana song but it tells a fictional tale of gun violence and conspiracy theories.  It is the story of an individual who may have committed a mass shooting because they are convinced their child has been exploited by an unknown cabal of pedophiles and ne're-do-wells.  The story is told from the perspective of the shooter, who has run out of time and is giddily preparing to face-down law enforcement in the town of Nowhere, OK.

The idea for this song started when Wendy was searching on-line for a work task.

Wendy says “there was this blue truck with a duck decoy sitting in the truck bed. And it was parked in front of what appeared to be a convenience store in the small town of Nowhere, Oklahoma.  It seemed like a song.”

Nowhere Oklahoma is now available on all streaming outlets and online stores on the world-wide web.

The song is part of an EP project of diverse songs the band has been playing all over the South of the US for the last 13 years.

Blackfoot Daisy, an acoustic trio consisting of Wendy DuMond on vocals, ukulele, percussion, and guitar; Don Sechelski on vocals, guitar and bass; and Tom Wolf on vocals, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica is based in the Atlanta metro area.
